In 2009 Sketchbook with be published bi-monthly: February, April, June, August, October, and December.  The publication date for each issue is the last day of the month.  Submissions are due on the 20th of the month of publication.

The May / June 2009 Sketchbook contains poems, art and features from 76 writers / artists from 17 countries including: Australia, Canada, China, Israel, India, Netherlands, Nigeria, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Trinidad and Tobago, United Kingdom, United States, Yugoslavia. The Editors extend a warm welcome to all of you!

The May / June 30, 2009 Sketchbook Cover Art is a Dishphoto by Kevin Ryan, UK; the ceramic disk was created by E. V Silver; Linda Papanicdolaou, US,  has contributed a Tanka to accompany this cover, and Jan Oskar Hansen contributed a Free Verse Haibun.

The featured haiga, many facets, is by Shanna Baldwin Moore.

Vaughn Seward has selected 12 renhai for the May / June 30, 2009 Sketchbook.  Be sure to read the notes link at the bottom of each selection; the notes contain interesting ideas about the rehnai links and various modes of composing a renhai.

Rengay Through The Seasons by Vaughn Seward features rengay numbers thirty-six through forty-four  of the year long rengay project; guest writers are J. Sketchbook Global Correspondents have sent the following reports this month: Helen Bar-Lev reporting from Israel and Bob Lucky reporting from China.

The Book Fair features The Reagan Psalms CD by A. D. Winans. If you are looking for a good listen, try this CD.  Also featured in the Book Fair is goodnight by Ed Baker, a 54 page collection of art and poetry. Be sure to view the Book Fair Video by Karina Klesko. Thank you for watching the Book Fair Video. The Sketchbook Editors have attempted to include all of the writers displayed in the current Book Fair. Please let us know if your work is not appearing in the videowe have limited control of how this program displays the graphic items. We are still leaning how to use this web tool.

Additionally, we encourage you to send us information about your book if you have published one and would like us to include it in Future Book Fair displays.  We need a jpg photo of the front and back covers, publication information,  cost of purchase and shipping, relevant biographical information, and relevant commentary about the book from a third party.
