Haiku
posting the
cards . . .
almost enough snow
for a snowman
my
daughter’s cheeks
flushed
against the driving snow
first snowflakes--
the meter reader
is calling again
two grey horses
the snow
tinged brown
under her coat
my shirt
first snowflakes
blinding
snow
not a scribble in the notebook
by the window
a goodbye
wave
her navel bare . . .
snowflakes in the wind
