May We Have the Envelop Please!
Choices, choices,
choices—three of them! You know—first, second, and third—blue,
red, and
green! That should be easy.
“Luck” as a thread topic for the monthly haiku had all the
writers digging into their family heritage. We had luck
traditions from many nations around the world demonstrated in
the seventy-seven haiku submitted. Reading the thread this month
was an educational adventure similar to reading a year’s worth
of National Geographic Magazines. I learned about
“luck customs” in Russia, America, Japan, China, Scotland,
Africa, Trinidad, Tobago, Victorian England, Italy, Hawaii,
Canada, and Ireland. I hope you will read all of the haiku in
addition to the lucky haiku chosen for comment.
And now—the winners are: First coice—Family Values; Second
choice—Almost Irreverent; Third choice—Tickled My Funny Bone.
Thank you.
