We may need to develop divisions for our galleries according to
genre and style.
Gillena's Haiga-Reku is amazing!! it is like abstract
Paleolithic arrangements of stone and color Or are these cloud
dreams. She begins her renku with the Dawn, sun edging the
background as if it is just behind the cloud waiting to emerge
or the dawning of art in civilization—the morning of Carnival.
If you will use the bottom arrows to move from page to page of
the renku, it tells the story of the culture and meanings behind
the actions. It is very well done and so very creative!
Thank you to

This multi-media presentation is inspiring.
A.D. Winans has
just survived a fire at his home in San Francisco, that has left
him without a home until the repairs are made. So many of his
papers, books, memoirs were burned. Editors and others have
begun to send him the copies they have of his works, that were
destroyed, so much is irreplaceable. He says he is staying with
relatives.
A poet remembers
A.d. Winans' kind hospitality. Jeffrey Woodward
joined the us recently and realized he knew A. D. from
years ago. Read about it here.
