Choc'late

Carnival follows closely on the heels of the Christmas season, here in T&T, and for both these seasons, food is a critical aspect of the festivities. This year 2007 a jouvert* band decides to cover its revellers in edible chocolate. Mud is the tradition. Revellers also douse in oil and paint. In between the January pre carnival hype the newspapers carry a story "Choc'late captures hearts with fast".

On January 10th the Trinidad and Tobago Express featured an article about 13 year old Choc'late Allen who won over the hearts of citizens, both locally and throughout the world, when she entered into a three-day anti-crime fast. Read her story in the Express.
