The Game of Cricket

Out on the playground on a summer's day
The school boys commenced a game of cricket
They had two strong sides, watching for wickets,
Each committed to superior play

The umpires finally found a way
To stop rowdies hiding in the thicket
Out on the playground on a summer's day
The school boys commenced a game of cricket

Enthusiasm ran high throughout play
Screams of joy followed the fall of wickets
Hearts and souls were in that game of cricket
Sadly the losers frittered the game away
Out on the playground on a summer's day

A Grey Hair

A grey hair on my head no way
I am far too young to have one
There must be some mistake
I am sure your eyes deceive you
It is most probably one of yours
After all you are a few years older
You have been around longer
It just has to be from your head
And so the argument continued
As two crazy women fought aloud
Oblivious of the fact that they
Were arguing at a public bus stand
And watched by an amused crowd
