Free Verse

From afar
through the window
I visited you
threading your stitches
hesitating and contemplating a thought

I wondered what that might be
but all my searches came to naught.

I brushed your cheeks with an earthy blush
clothed you with my golden threads
wrapped you in a deep-dream blue
and brightened your glances
with flesh-pink flowers

You tasted my minted tea
sweetened by my honey bees

To you all my sunshine I have sent
and now find myself quite content
This day will have been well spent
under this spell of
loving you
