Flowing
Waters
Give me the
waters
that run shallow and clear
with shelved rocks
and a whole-world view
of its oneness stark and clean
its purpose with clarity seen
parented and borning
of peaceful, transfigured fecundity.
Let me cocoon under
the shelter of the tree
casting its blanket of redemptive prophecy
across the creative waters of century’s stream
that I might quench my thirst
with nature’s waterfall of wonderment.
Flowing waters under a rainbow’s end.
