Mother Earth

Mother Earth descends
In the dark depths of depression,
Weary, weeping, whining
And waiting with her heavy, harried heart,
Heaving in the throes of humiliation.

See our primal provider, perturbed,
Polluted, plundered and raped,
Panting in the pangs of human avarice!
Ominous clouds of conflict rise
From her beleaguered abdomen
As petty man impudently
Unleashes his inhumanity upon man!

Pernicious predators, from East to West,
Trample on her nudity, highlighting
The obscene opulence of the North,
And the crippling curse of
The indecent indigence of the South.

Dreams of debt forgiveness dance
Indolently and capriciously
On the dastardly delinquent scales
Of abject poverty and injustice,
While equal distribution parades
In the cloak of global retribution!

Mother Earth burns frantically now
With opprobrium and disgust,
Shuddering and quaking with contempt
For her thoughtless, incestuous children.

Her violated virginity vies
For justice and regeneration
In unprecedented, vehement,
Violent vindication!

Her body convulses
In vengeful vindictive wrath,
Indiscriminately immolating
The innocent and the guilty,
The rich and the destitute
In the blind fury of her raging,
Tumultuous torrents of torrid tears!

Redeeming Love

Unrestrained joy, fleeting delight,
Delicious dreams dancing to the
Enchanting rhythms of tempting desire,
Stray in the bay of disillusion!

Deep within my innermost being,
Threads of ebullient emotions,
Weaving immaculate images of
Effervescent ecstasy, recall the
Memory of love drifting desperately
On the shifting sands of surly sentiments!

Then, redemption comes, a whisper
Of benediction to my aching, healing
Heart, while love sings its sweet song
With wonderful words wrapped in
Suave, silky, sibylline sounds.

My soul is aglow now with grace
And hope, as my light, tender heart
Exults in the precious, balmy warmth
Of your serene, shining adoration!

Terra Firma

Accept me, o holy ground!
Upon you I crave to stand
In faith, love and hope,
To cleanse my soul and spirit
In the purity of your sacredness!
Cover me with your green
Mantle of natural growth;
Listen to my ardent prayer
For your eternal preservation!
Let me quench my thirst
At your precious fountains!
Wash away the polluted stains
Of murky rivers, soiled mounts!
Protect me in the soft, soothing
Sanctuary of your embrace!

The Eulogy

a warm teardrop falls
upon the eulogy sheet
as emotions flood
to the surface of my soul,
the citadel tumbles down

Tropical Summer

tropical summer
weaving its whispering breeze
deep in my spirit
I find the path to wholeness,
a generation of love

Time Warp

all my yesterdays
caught in today’s agony
of tomorrow’s dreams
down the labyrinth of Time
my destiny to fulfill

Fibonacci

Cold
winds
whistle!
pine trees sway,
while snowflakes announce
the early advent of winter!

Hot
tears
roll down
angry cheeks,
as Mother Nature
cringes with shame for man's folly!
