Wee Hours
wee hours...
listening to the silence of the universe
until the first sparrows
still enough time before
my neighbors start quarrelling
over the barking of dogs
rushing to put my thoughts
in order for a new day
full of the same unresolved matters
from past time memories
and the irregular heartbeats
keeping me aware... beware
still alive is this house
overgrown in weeds and
in suspended grieves
one child turns in her bed
afraid to speak out
the other far away
among fireflies with the Saturn
in his 12th house
still watching their dying father
with needles in his head
and legs up fastened to the sky
wee hours....
While You Are
Suffering
I've got two fir
trees
Outside my bedroom window
You know how tall they are. . .
From garden to roof
I'll clearly describe to you how they rustle
In this song
I've got sparrows
One black cat
(She often frightens me)
Twenty flies
Fifty mosquitoes in total
A gray mouse under my bed
I've got a chair you gave me
Red-white by the ivy on the balcony
One will do
If I go out
Silence
Not a word
Shall I say
When I wake up
Nor will I remember
Any more
As soon as I open my eyes
I'll make my dream
To carry me
Higher to fly
A dream will be my reality
That's what I'll do
When I wake up
