Looking for Love

summer bride / cascading a hillside / queen anne's lace
alone at the alter / dappled sunlight filters in
new moon / flirting with thoughts / of an old love
from a darkened friend / an unseen warmth
fly fishing / they hook in / a sunken treasure
remnants of a john boat / grounded to the bank
forty second street / a hooker picks up / her broken heel
with every silent blink / the signal screams "CAUTION"
long night / the traffic light stuck on red / no one waits
a sweeper rounds the corner / washing away the night life
garnering oak / a squirrel whisks his tail - / the rustle of leaves
rat a tat tat / a woodpecker hammers on
naruko dance / even the sparrows / seem captivated
from the nest above / a fledgling calls out
frosted pane / the lonely scarecrow / chilled
mini-wheats for breakfast / watching for the warming sun
lost / against a white sky / the snow caps
the beauty of spring / found on a butterfly's wing
graduation / the way one flower blossoms / after another
petals from a cherry tree / litter the ground beneath
sudden gust / landing on her new shoes / a fashion magazine
a dust devil comes to life / vanishing at the field's edge
