Haiku Pix Review
announces its 2011 Haiku Pix Chapbook Contest for a
collection of haiku espousing the magazine's credo: “No
haiku, but in pictures.” Enter any brief poem, employing the
haiku technique of juxtaposition of images devised to evoke
emotion. All poems considered for publication in the
magazine.
Prize: $200, publishing contract, and 10 chapbooks. Plus
Honorable Mentions. Haiku Pix Review reserves the right to a
different distribution of the prize.
Reading Fee: $20/entry (U.S. funds only) includes a one-year
subscription to Haiku Pix Review.
Deadline: April 1,
2011.
We invite 20-50 page manuscripts (containing about 20-100
haiku, senryu, tanka or other extremely effective, brief
poems). Please, include acknowledgments and a bio.
