News I’m proud to
be in the company of some legends. As some of you know, a
poem of mine was set to music by Pulitzer Prize winning
composer William Bolcom, and performed at Alice Tully Hall
in 2002. Now ten years later, Louisiana State University,
School of Music, has issue a CD, An American Kaleidoscope,”
Song Cycles of Bolcom and three other composers. My poem
“Lady Death” follows three song poems by Oscar Wilde,
followed by noted poets C.P. Cavafy, Ezra Pound, Langston
Hughes, “ Mark Doty and Kenneth Koch. |
