Haiku
evaporating
from a dewey field
the morning quiet
in the sway
of tall mountain grass
our last goodbye
small
talk
my lanky neighbor leans his head
on the sun
morning sun
little pink fingers
warm my tired heart
a drop of honey
in blueberry rooibos
summer moon
skipping
stone
on the river
flat moon
meet me on the
side
those like us belong
half moon
monday
morning
and yet he smiles—
desktop buddha
also
lost
in the city
yellow finch
poet
eyes
the way she reads
between my lines
