Haiku

Robert Davey, UK

growing
with the dawn
hot air balloon

rain at
the window
button mushrooms

door in the wind
gusts of
conversation

seventeen—
the skin of an onion
loosens

mulling it over wind turbine

mosquito cloud windscreen apocalyptic

squirrel—
from particle
to wave

shortest night stars burn eons

mid winter
hanging branch
dead leaves unshed

colours
rolled away by clouds...
goldfinch

expired passport—
handing back
my son age six
