Haiku

deafening
silence fills the air
home alone

the field mouse
makes its home inside
the old wheelbarrow

drum beat
plays on my brolly*
heavy rain

street cafe
your arm around me
on the photo

she celebrates
with faltering steps
first birthday

new neighbours
through thin walls
different voices

lochside painting
i take my holiday
back home

buckets
line the the hallway
catching drips

antiseptic cream
on my wounded hand
scent of hospital

sharp scratch
in my outstretched arm
reality bites

*brolly:  A colloquial term for umbrella (Wikipedia)
