blues

Oh...vagabond gypsy
     that you are....
your words echo timeless
in the wind and stars

wandering this universe
of legend and lores
picking up pieces
looking for doors

see'r in mirrors
that look thru the night
collector of rhythms
to sing in the light

singer of blues
in dark dingy corners
songs for the lost ones
and all of their mourners

you sang me a love song
and then took it back
now I sing the blues
in the key of BLACK

drought

morning coffee
warms the air
around me
peace pipe full
mind overflows
gathering words
peculiar song
in the forest
bees humming a chorus
to the red
Lehua blossoms
Madam Pele
flowers in her hair
yellow for
mystery and magic
only the trees
and the airplants bloom
drought steals the gardenias
and tiny purple blossoms
that dance in the wind
birds come close
to tell me
birdbath
has no sky in it

rain dance brings only
dust clouds..
and drops of sweat...
auweeee!!!!
