He and She

In dark shadows he plays sinister games!
Yet no one even dares to suspect him.
He always covers his tracks with false claims.
While her cup of sorrows fills to the brim.
She has no right to take a decision,
Her role - obedience and always on call.
For everything she seeks his permission,
Besides she must sing daily in their hall.
Although she dreads his musical sessions,
They always end on a very sour note.
For her it is a sign of repression,
She has to know both song and tune by rote.

She is stuck to him her lord and master
Via marriage, like an adhesive plaster.
