Haiku
thin mist
over the inlet
distant airport
sergeant
on the parade ground–
whispering fir
wheat fields
the wind takes away
her veil
carved back
of an oak chair
the bishop
frost on the grass
this morning
your gravestone
fat white flakes
blur the cedars
chickadees
gentle
breeze–
the pond
shivers
