Living A Dream

 

My love of dreams is will-o’-the-wisp light
When we’re young and climb to a hillside sky.
With your love-in-a-mist eyes of blue-white
We tippy-toe and touch clouds you and I~

Venus dips and lifts up dawn’s sunrise high.
Then drizzles hues on you and narrows night.
We move as one, bathe in a lover’s sigh.
My love of dreams is where there’s lift of light~

Wind sweeps my flared skirt like a far-flung kite.
We riffle on time’s edge, laugh, ache and cry.
Whooshed with wind we’re kites of duo delight
When we’re young and climb to a hillside sky~

Parakeets whip through, scatter, screech and fly
In sunrise’s red-orange-gold’s-bright sight.
Magnetic red swirls through our skin to lie
With your love-in-a-mist eyes of blue-white~

I plunge in your eyes, a nymph’s water sprite,
Flashlights blue and purple drench my mind’s eye.
In spilled thrills of doused depth we reunite.
We tippy-toe and touch clouds you and I~

We rise and splice these crazy cloud’s but why
When we pipe-dream-chase down the dizzy height?
For tryst’s stars line up to count each lost try
Of love, and throw charred stardust’s ash despite
My love of dreams~

*About Rondeau Redoublé

The rondeau redoublé is a  complex form written on two rhymes, but in five stanzas of four lines each and one of five lines. Each of the first four lines (stanza 1) get individually repeated in turn once by becoming successively the respective fourth lines of stanzas 2, 3, 4, & 5; and the first part of the first line is repeated as a short fifth line to conclude the sixth stanza. This can be represented as - A1,B1,A2,B2 - b,a,b,A1 - a,b,a,B1 - b,a,b,A2 - a,b,a,B2 - b,a,b,a,(A1).
