When
Spring comes again
not the warmthy...nor the rain
not the yellow...nor the green
not the grass or verdant scene;
not the winds or blossom bright
not the showers or more daylight:
but hearing creation's new birth
shouted aloud in sky and earth

Note: Timothy Dudley-Smith OBE (born 26 December 1926)
is an English hymnwriter and a retired bishop of the
Church of England.
Born in Manchester, England, he was educated at
Tonbridge School and Pembroke College, Cambridge. He was
ordained deacon in 1950 and priest in 1951. He served as
Archdeacon of Norwich 1973-81 and Bishop of Thetford
1981-91. He retired in 1991 (Wikipedia).
As a hymn
writer, has published c. 300 hymn texts (no music, but
many to well-known tunes) in four single-author
collections, now subsumed into a larger collected
edition, A House of Praise (from a
Biography).
