Ekphrastic Found Poem

Night of the Falling Stars

dancing on the beach
spinning around and ‘round
sensing the rhythm
of the deep blue sea
a CD in a whirl
milkweed in a breeze
seagrass swaying
strains of Debussy
the sky open and clear
breathing in midnight air
all light, dizzy, and magical
counting falling stars

Ekphrastic Found Poetry: To compose this poem I selected words from Suzannes’ Diary for Nicholas, a novel by James Patterson, pp. 93-95.  In the poem these words are italicized. The italicized words  of  the poem do not appear in the same order in Patterson's novel.
