Pithoragarh:
1980 *
The
full-moon has bloomed in the sky
and is writing on distant peaks
clad in snow:
white glow... white glow... white glow...
But...
in my mind here :
Om Shantih... Om Shantih... Om Shantih!
* Pithoragarh is
a picturesque town in the Himalayas, in the Uttarakhand
State,
India, where the author stayed during 1979-80.)
The Sufi
I am the
Fire, You are the Wind;
Burn me within
Or blow me out -
The choice is Yours : I won't mind.
Ghazal
But for
You
Strange it
is but also true
I have nothing to hide from You
The Self is on a boat of flesh
An ocean between me and You
How can my desires blossom
In this garden without You?
I know my wanderings will not end
Until I have a glimpse of You
The night is dreary, dark and long
Uni is lost - but for You.
