Rhyming Couplets
Christopher Robin
Christopher Robin is kneeling in prayer
he blesses with halo head whispers where
God has a special place in his soft heart
where love, care and goodness each play a part.
He reveres his parents who guide his way
and nanny whose dressing gown’s on display.
He uses his hood to curl up quite small
and thinks nobody knows he’s there at all.
Yet his parents know he’s tucked up in bed
as they see his hood covers his gold head.
I pray that parents teach their children prayers
or if there’s not two parents, one who cares.
As children are the future of world peace
to know God is near their love will increase.
God bless their journey as the world turns
and bless their innocence as each child learns.
