On The Road (Taiwan, June-July 2011)
buzzing
blooms
along Confucius Boulevard
the sting of exhaust
country road
a sprinkling of sparrows
dust the view
garden ginko
I begin to smell
my herbal tea
under the bridge
escaping a cloudburst—
hot stones
crash in the rain
oil slicks
got slicker
stuck—
the wheels smashed
by fuchsia petals
