Ekphrastic Double Tri-fall

Karin Anderson, AU

Introduction

When I listened to Sissel Kyrkjebo sing "Summer Snow" I thought this poem could reinforce her theme of eternal love. Also her crystalline voice reminded me of the crystal image I had used. I would suggest reading the poem first and then listening to "Summer Snow".

Our Eternal Vows

A Double Tri-fall*

You fly with me in dreams
across time
our wings streaking kismet-kissed sky
to sigh melodies streams
as sublime
Aphrodite’s risen spume drifts by~

You sway me in long grass
jade and gold
tomorrow’s dew-drips evermore
caught in crystal cut glass
love foretold
mirroring our quartz rose rapport~

You’re in the breath of me
nights aloft
sunset clouds gilding fluffed shampoo
days hold soft
pockets of my journey
as I wear Summer’s warmth and you~
