On the
far horizon
Loom dark winter clouds
Our world waits for rain
Across a sullen sea
Winter clouds are scudding
Grey gulls wheel and cry
In heat of summer
An arid landscape dreaming

Tom Berman is
a member of Kibbutz Amiad in the Upper Galilee, Israel. Born
in Czechoslovakia , he grew up in Glasgow, Scotland and is a
scientist whose poetry has been published here and there,
now and again. He was Editor in
Chief of the annual Voices Israel Anthology
