Introduction: Frederick Chopin composed Piano
Concerto No, 2 in F Minor Op. 21 Larghetto when aged
20 for a fellow student. Because of his innate
shyness he did not pursue her and immortalized his
love for her with the imagery of a love letter at
the beginning of the music. This concerto is
performed by Lang Lang.

Chopin
I’m spellbound in
a French salon of swooning sound
as Chopin strokes his keyboard for a love profound.
His right hand purls the piano’s woolgathered throb
as his left hand embroiders blue heart’s lonely sob~
A tender tryst, his love letter ignites a sigh
such inspiration never heard in one so shy.
Imagery rich as salon’s ruby and jade green
as I inhale rose perfume in this subdued scene~
His unique piano pedal seamlessly flows
as I sit and sip champagne Chopin’s suspire grows.
Poland’s folk music reminiscent of grain fields
ripples long rows of breeze as if gold ever yields~
His piano trills with nature’s swift rippling stream
across glades of my heart with dulcet drift of dream.
I dance as music oscillates me from lush plains
as champagne floats bubbles in rainbow’s ringing rain~
I transcend to tinkled ardor of wind swept spheres
arabesque to sunset’s parade as dusk appears.
Spin to fervent crescendo of the waxing moon
and Venus’s symphonic thundered tinsel tune~
The up-star elite clap as aroused rumbling roars
my heart jolts Aphrodite’s as a comet soars.
Yet, Chopin’s hands decrescendo as passion calms
and I eclipse and waft down to his waiting arms~
