Haiku   Independence Day   War ended On the ruins A new foundation     Merriment and joy Freedom touches Their hearts     Independence The sky is clear Above us too     Independence Day I inhale freedom     Memories Through a mist of time Everything looks better     Free Verse   On Independence Day   I don't want anything that's not mine Nor something belonging to others I only wish To live in Peace And celebrate freely My anthem. I don’t wish to be a deserted island Nor build THE WALLS That divide I wish I want MY own piece of MY country only And MY sun On a CLEAN palm.
