Waiting

I always worry when she doesn't come back on time.
A newspaper, silent music and the view over the window usually kill passing time.

I can hear another bus leaving and our garden gate is still closed.

waiting for you
the window changes
into a mirror*

Dusk is falling and the moon appears over the neighbouring buildings.
It's always a magical moment for us but not now.

bed time
only the moonlight
next to me

I'm lying with my eyes open.
The headlights of another car move along the ceiling...
The sound of footsteps...
Keys in the lock...
I fall asleep.
