Celebrating Mother's Day May 9, 2010

Mother’s Day
a woman cries
for her stillborn child

Mother’s Day
the daughter takes
her mother’s place

Mother’s Day
not for women
who hate kids

Mother’s Day
In VItro babies
paraded in strollers

Mother’s Day
one dozen certified
sperm-free eggs

Mother’s Day
the Easter bunny
paints my eggs red

Mother’s Day
first the baby
then the stretch marks

Mother’s Day
your husband
doesn’t wear the pants suit

Mother’s Day
you better not forget
or else…

mom
you don’t have to be married
to be one

3:40 a.m.
insomnia listening
to mom’s coughing
