Ironwood Trees

Ironwood trees
stand tall in the valley
warriors sway....
as the wind
rides the mountain

the old ones
ever present
wave and fishing action
written in stones
stacked on sacred ground

on the hill behind
Kapu warnings
for those who dare
come close

touch of tendrils
tree's needles
drift down
as I sit....
on someone's
watching rock

Tony's Poettree

The Poettree
has many branches
its roots
have spawned
new trees
offspring
reaching for the light
to touch the face of god....
There is a certain way
the words fall
creating mele's
we all can sing
to our own "Beat"
drumming
so free in the freshest
of mountain air
like smoke signals
of sage
lifting...
my song to you
