Been to an art
exhibition; it has changed a lot.
People who came here
before had little money but liked art.
Rich, old
couple, perfectly
dressed, eat and drink a lot—
how
do they stay so slim? Perhaps they
only eat when coming here?
Mind, most of the paintings have
red marks
on their side.
Ordered—this
is serious they really deserve
a good meal
after buying expensive art.
Old as they are they have not much
time to
enjoy their purchase.
Investment and grandchildren spring to
mind,
or do they think they can live forever by buying body parts
from India?
The night is soft and warm and I just know this is the last
day of summer
and it lingers through the evening.
If I were rich would I buy
any
of the paintings I have seen?
I think not—my
taste is rather on the wild side
like a poem that has yet to be written.
I only drink water and
eat nothing
when I go to art places,
(silly poor man’s pride?) But I live
in hope of
finding a painting
I like and can afford; then and only then
will I let it rip.
Jan Oskar Hansen reads "Art show"..
A Day in the
News (nepotism)
I was painting the hall but didn’t have enough
brown paint,
mixed some yellow into it and it looked
like the walls of a French bakery.
The young son of
the Gallic president
has landed a top job, this is a type
of nepotism
that can only happen in France where people
still have fear of those in power,
it takes a long time
before they dare protest
and when they do, they tend to
overreact.
France reminds me of African nations,
they have not truly grasped the idea of democracy,
a leader tends to dispence favours to family and friends.
What about Norway? Several parties, yet the same
political families rule generation after generations.
Lazy electors, only vote for names they know, surely
Norway could not be like France or Gabon?
