Happy Autumn!

shower exclamation points
leaves' pleas to Jack Frost
. . .cold one, he

Grief is one leaf
falls after another
. . .brown white with snow

A poem of a downfall. . .
ghostly regrets of the leaves
go where you came from

drought creates filigree
lace doilies from decay.
. . .best scenario?

leaves fall as sadness
rises to meet in iced rain
. . .put on the kettle

leaves not falling but creeping
pile crackles in me if I move
. . .think Spring

Leaves: A Haiku Sequence

leaves of this book
a leaf marks my place
all so fragile

taking a leaf from your book
saying good . . .
not so much if you're a tree

odd that leaves come back
all that falling and getting swept
. . .must know something
