Haiku   fun reunion— the school bully is now a frumpy housewife     in the train our eyes meet my heart stops     her beauty astounds me! my home town     glowing bride her parents smile awkwardly for her sake     repressed tears— more than a decade since he left     a knitter’s frustration: a dropped stitch     nervously watching as he… takes his first steps     pedal-boat on the lake enjoying the breeze     my stomach knots it’s my first helicopter ride     nothing but endless road... when will we arrive?   About Nadia Adams   Nadia Adams is from Cape Town, South Africa. During office hours, she is a buyer for a laboratory distributor but out of the office, she indulges in all her passions and crafts. The passions are blogging, reading, tree-hugging and travelling even if it's just a weekend getaway up and down the coast of South Africa. The crafts are cross-stitch, knitting, crochet especially amigurumi, origami, quilling and card-making. She most enjoys  blogging about her interests and she has a craft blog, a charity blog and now that she has discovered haiku, a poetry blog.
