The Town’s Bowling Team

trampled . . .
the chrysanthemum she wore
the crowd roars TOUCHDOWN!

after the grand finale
the stadium left littered

at the 19th hole
drinks all around—
"a hole in one!"

long after the fight
all over town still remains
of the posters

on the wall in a pub
the town's bowling team

junk drawer—
the bronze olympic medal
he thought was lost

5-8 October 2004
