Divine Love

Joyce Watkins, US

Our Divine Love
blesses All...
the Love Stream
runs deep indigo
waves of cosmic
passion...rippling
to the stars
and back to bless
this fragile earth
falling in misty dew
a summer rain, in fall
breezes, winter snow
and spring cherry trees
a swirling vortex of
numinous spells, initiation,
death and blossoming life
We hold it all.......
I see it in the faces
of my garden...tender,
shy smiles...reaching
straight into my heart
and coloring my aura
with lemon, tangerine
and cherry dream catchers
...and, I stand on
the cliffs of his soul
his spirit lifts me high
and far into realms never
visited...I go there
and somehow understand
a language never spoken
before or since...
I take his hand
and we jump
into the void
trusting nothing,
laughing, crying
screaming new pathways
into this unknown place

we walk
we wonder

...and magic
unfolds...above
and under...carrying
us...no longer ruled
by earthly law...we kiss
and stars quiver...we
touch and a moon eclipses
this is the way
of Divine Love

"The artist need not know very much; best of all let him work instinctively and paint as naturally as he breaths or walks."

Emile Nolde

When I write or paint...it is with the thought of discovery, awareness and awe. I know I am tapping into a region not of my own. My part is to get still, to make the space for the muse to appear. Sometimes the words just come, and it is my pleasure to write them down. Other times...I sit and wonder, ponder...till the thoughts flow through me. It is not mine...great spirit blows through...like the clear air on a high mountain top. Then, I can hear the trees speaking, the clouds singing, see the stars dance...and the words tumble out, freely and spontaneously. It is a spiritual path, a communion, a meditation, and I am very grateful for
this gift.
