Elizabeth Howard, US

gone for a season
the small white duck
dives into the pond, quacking

and you in the driveway
puffed up from your capers

ravens sweep
across our mountain peaks

yet at the Tower of London
I gawk at the pampered birds
like every other tourist

Shanna Baldwin Moore, US

feeling
this free flowing
energy
a call across the mountain
echoes at the shore

rain falls
on the bamboo
wind chimes
sounds of Lionel Hampton
a mellow touch to the night

between the mist
and the edge of the forest
shapeshifting
a white buffalo thunders
and becomes one with the clouds
