Zipping through the Rapids

on the other side

at the end

a steep trail

a soft meadow

no footbridge    no shallow ford    no grass pallet

bare ticking waits the too tired

*

Among the pines

dragonflies

an elk coughs

buzz the river

shirt open    moss crushed    prying eyes watch

coyotes greet the morning
