Elusive Reasons

Either a lively day
Or a lethargic one,
In a routine
Everything slips into past.
Back from the school
On the streets, cool,
In groups children gather
To adore the evening glitter.

Childhood memories
Sweep my thoughts,
Youthful imaginations
Stir my heart’s heart.
Betwixt these twinkles,
The clouds of darkness
Infiltrate my illusions
And dampen the spirit
Of the ever-elusive path
That often eludes me.

Every dusk fall
Implants a new hope,
Whilst every dawn
Routinely uproots it.
Childhood eclipsed
Into youthfulness,
Likewise, youth into mid-life.
The deceitful paths
On the meadows of future
Keeps on confusing me.
Caught midst elusive paths
Struggling to reconcile myself,
I aspire for a stable course
To tread the road not taken.

In Solitude

When the butterfly
Takes a pollen dance,
In joy unbound
It flips its wings.
The beautiful wings
Delicate and delightful
Please our eyes,
Fill hearts with glee.

These scarce moments
Are but short-lived
But memorable to cherish
In the serenity of solitude.

Into memorable past
When childhood slips,
When the wings of youth
Aspire to fly high
To reach new horizons,
Can someone stop
The surging moments.

These scarce days of life
Though for a short span stay,
Scripting moments of glitter
On the radiant pages of memory
Would it not delight us most
Often to recollect, in solitude.
