a flock of swifts
looking for the chimney
at McDonald's

 

 

at this wayside inn
the welcome mat always out
oh migrant hummers

Do Not Eat the Fish
mercury, the sign warns
yet belted kingfishers
dive deep
for the choicest catch

 

 

March showers
rills in the meadows
greening
myriads of tree frogs
peeping
