Sunny Snows
The Salinas Valley gets its winters,
too. Usually, December to January. Last year, jokers tell, it
blew through in midweek. Some storms get bad, putting a bra of
snow on the twin peaks. But they may come, or may not—most
winters, boys dive in the Salinas River in clouds of dust kicked
up by dirt bikes.
