Haiku   frozen in the window a cat stalks his prey the cars too big to catch     i wear my father’s heavy coat of self doubt and sadness sometimes proudly     new year’s resolutions can’t remember last year's nor the year's before     christmas dinner the kids won’t sit still at the mcdonald's drive thru     cold december wind there’s no escape driving with the windows down   This is Tom Cassell's first appearance in Sketchbook Tom Cassell is a sometime musician, poet and business coach.
