Elena Naskova,

Haiku

endless night—
between the stepping stones
the other half of the moon

eightieth birthday—
the morning glory on her dress
still blooms

dead end—
fallen logs lingering
under the clear sky

stolen roses
the rusty smell
of my blood

stillness—
your rapid heartbeats
against my palm

gipsy guitar
the wind
awakens

nightlife district
a star falls
unnoticed

Shifting sands—
the stork
switches legs

first dream—
under my pillow
an endless sky
