Snail's Choice

Huge
Snail
Decides
Suddenly,
In a daring mood,
To blaze a trail on the highway!

Syllabic Sounds

Ships
Sail
Slowly,
Silently,
Upon serene seas
Shimmering in the southern sun!

Terra Firma

Accept me, o holy ground!
Upon you I crave to stand
In faith, love and hope,
To cleanse my soul and spirit
In the purity of your sacredness!
Cover me with your green
Mantle of natural growth;
Listen to my ardent prayer
For your eternal preservation!
Let me quench my thirst
At your precious fountains!
Wash away the polluted stains
Of murky rivers, soiled mounts!
Protect me in the soft, soothing
Sanctuary of your embrace!

Sunset

Serene shafts of warm,
Delicious light shimmer
Suavely as sunset sails
Sedately across cool,
Crystal mountain tops
Waving wistfully with
Indolence and indifference
To the complacent coyness
Of summer’s smiling clouds!
