About John Holt
John Holt (haigo:
tori inu
"bird dog") has been chasing after things all his life. He
has lived off and on in Japan for seven years and has
been studying and practicing the art of haiku for many
years. He has had many influences, (both experiences he has
been through in his line of work and reading the haiku of
others). His favorite time to refine his experiences (writing
them as haiku) are when relaxing with a good cigar, a glass
of Port, and his dog.
This is John Holt's first
appearance in Sketchbook.
