The Changing Seasons 3 Half a Box of Strawberries Betty Kaplan, US and Marlène Buitelaar, NL end of summer— simmering in grandma's kettle plum preserves searching the grass for fallen apples on the way home— half a box of strawberries left for the shortcake howling under the pear tree— baby brother clutching a dead wasp dinner for the boss ends with ambrosia fresh walnut pie on his mind— first autumn harvest   September 4-12, 2007

 

The Changing Seasons 4 A Treat for the Vegan Marlène Buitelaar, NL and Betty Kaplan, US squirrel bite marks— decaying in the autumn sun a giant porcini sniffing out the truffles our pig Polly in the woods running to get his stic— in one giant leap my dog beheads a fly agaric a treat for the vegan browning on the barbeque portabella steaks my priceless chantarelles fed to her pet hamster comfort food... warm mushroom and barley soup grandma's old bowl   October 7 - 10, 2007
