Diving
(Cipai: ABBA-Chiquitita)
How is it I can't feel the pain
And fears no longer come near me?
How come tears, when they come, they flow so sweetly?
There's a mystery in my life
Which I cannot possibly fathom
What's this force
Which pervades my every atom?
I can never run out of smiles
Even though the sorrows gather
I can live with things which once caused a lather…
I can joyfully bear it all
Even though the troubles are legion
There is strength in my heart's remotest region.
It would seem love is in the
air,
And it soars and thrives and it laughs and it takes me with it
It may be the same old song, but I go along…
Where to? I don't dare to dream it!
It's this instant I have to live,
I have no choice but to accept to dive in this river
To which ocean it will flow, who am I to know?
Let the Providence deliver…
Let it flow! Who am I to know?
Let the Providence deliver…
I 'm not even sure if it's
"wise"
But I can't resist it either…
Triumph or demise? I can't tell till I'll have been there
No Cassandras can hold me back
There is glory in taking chances
Win or lose, I am sure my heart advances.
It would seem love is in the
air,
And it soars and thrives and it laughs and it takes me with it
It may be the same old song, but I go along…
Where to? I don't dare to dream it!
It's this instant I have to live,
I have no choice but to accept to dive in this river
To which ocean it will flow, who am I to know?
Let the Providence deliver…
Let it flow! Who am I to know?
Let the Providence deliver…
Author's Technical Note: I
chose to have the "chorus" repeated, because it seemed
appropriate for the development of the poem; this, however,
should not be a requirement for the form.
