Ekphrastic Poem ~ I Spy

I spy with my little right eye
something beginning with P.
It’s as free as ice cream dream’s flow
where billowed balloons in sky blow
and belongs to you and to me.

I spy with my little left eye
something beginning with P.
It’s as proud as our friends may know
our words like red flowers can grow
and belongs to you and to me.

I spy with my little third eye
something beginning with P.
It’s as calm as a kitten’s purr
that can heal tears with fluffs of fur
and belongs to you and to me.

I now spy with all of our eyes
something beginning with P
what rhymes with “eye? - it’s the word “why?”
because ask a teacher, then try
to compose your own "poetry"

as it belongs to you and me!
